Zion National Park
Beautiful Road

Our Room inside the Park
We reached Las Vegas and rent a car to Zion National Park. Ninety miles  north of Las Vegas, Nevada, in the South west corner of Utah, desert red rock meets alpine mountains.

There are beautiful places on earth that neither words nor pictures can capture.Zion National Park is one of them.Zion National Park is celebrating 100th years of rock since becoming Utah's first national Park.Immense red and white sandstone cliffs stretch from the forested river bed to breathtaking scenes Zion offers year round and seasonal campground facilities. The Zion national park visitors center offers a state of the art experience most notably an out standing center. You should sit back and enjoy the beauty of the nature. Reservation can be made in advance calling 877-444-6777 or online wwwrecreation.gov.

Turkeys
There are lots of Turkeys on the ground near our room.
The Virgin River
Minor drop offs paved trail follows along the Virgin River  along the bottom of a narrow canyon.

Beautiful place without people

We went in the month of March. So there was no rush, we could take out our car to interior side of the park.. Season time you have to take the trolley bus.

We flew to Las Vegas and drove to Zion National Park. There are huge mountains on the way. We had booked room inside the park near the visitors center.

For us that time breakfast was complimentary. We got healthy filling breakfast. First day it was raining. we could see the beauty of the mountains during rainy day. Next day there was sunshine. It was very pleasant with out cell phones(It won't work there )
The famous three mountains
Zion National Park admission fee for one year is $50 Senior pass is $ 10 to all Federal fee areas for life, US residents 62 years or older.

Next day we had our breakfast and drove inside the park.

There is a scenic drive about 13 miles round trip through the southern entrance and 22 miles round trip from Eastern entrance.to Zion canyon. use caution and good judgement when driving through these mountains. The road is not lit at night and contains hairpin turns that are difficult to maneuver there are no guardrails. The scenery is breathtaking.

We stayed 3 days there. We saw a film Treasures of the Gods about Zion national park at IMAX theater.

One day we went a long walk .canyon over look trail begins at the parking area at the east end of Zion mount Carmel tunnel a moderately difficult half mile nature trail, it offers excellent views of the western side of the canyon. Our daughter took a very long walk in difficult trail. with lots of water falls. She came back in the evening.

Next day we prepared to go to Bryce Canyon.
